2024 was one of the most spectacular years of my life.

Here are 6 wins and 6 lessons

Win No. 1:Ā  I set up my NEW life in Dubai!

In January 2024, I landed in Dubai.  Then one year later, my entire home was set up.  I have one of the best views in the city and a (mostly) furnished apartment to my liking.

I’ve got friends, favorite activities (padel!), a good EO circle, events to go to and so much more.

Win No. 2: LIFT Enrichment hit $10 million in revenue

Here’s a whole post about that

Win No. 3:  I spent the summer in Europe

In the first week of July, I landed in my second favorite city, Warsaw, Poland, and stayed there for almost 2 months.  I also visited a beautiful nearby city called Wroclaw.  I made new friends, enjoyed the weather and even started learning Polish.

Then I spent 2 weeks in Spain, with some time in Marbella and Ibiza.  It was a great way to escape the summer heat in Dubai.

Win No. 4:  I took my parents on a vacation

I go over in this post some highlights of my first visitors to Dubai: my parents.  I flew them out and hosted them for an epic week of fun: filled with great restaurants, tourist activities, spa days, pool days and so much more.  It was nice to give them this vacation after they’ve given me so many in the past.

Win No. 5:  My second company started to get momentum

I wouldn’t say I hit the revenue goals I wanted, but Clinic Assist did make some money.  I built a team, started churning out content, started calling clinics and learned a lot about dentistry, sales and management.

Win No. 6:  Met A Good Girl

After bachelorhood, it was nice to “settle” down in my own way. šŸ˜‰

Lesson No. 1:  Don’t Travel So Much

Ironically, I travelled too much last year!  I think I spent 45-60 days in hotel rooms, and it was just too much.  I said yes to amazing experiences in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Santa Barbara and so much more…but I lost a lot of momentum with my health and business goals.  Now, I travel a lot less and only on purpose when I’m very excited to visit a place.

Lesson No. 2:Ā  Stretch More

My body doesn’t like sitting all the time, even though my mind enjoys writing these posts!  I started making sure every workout had a 5-minute stretch before and after.  I’m not as good as I’d like to be, but I’m getting there.

Lesson No. 3:  Stay Off The Online Games

I love a competitive game, even if it’s an online board game like Catan.  These little apps steal 5-20 minutes at a time…but it adds up!   Now I just install it, play a bit and then delete the app afterward.

Lesson No. 4:  Food Is My Reward System

I like to eat…and maybe that’s why I was a chef for many years.  Now, I track my food as you can see in this post.  This helps me limit my indulgences and hit my health goals.

Lesson No. 5:  Fly Out Your Friends

If I can’t see someone I want to see…then just put them on a plane!  Not everyone can do this, but I’m at a point where I can, and now I’ve created great memories with a lot of important people in my life by bringing them to Dubai.

Lesson No. 6:  Meditation Feels Good

What a surprise..if you meditate it’s relaxing!  I couldn’t keep it up, until I installed it into my morning routine.  Now it’s a regular part of my day.
